How about blocking new members from posting comments or sending invites for a day or so? Any real members would easily pass muster.
This drop-in spam posting is reaching ridiculous levels.
Spammers are usually reported (and hopefully banned) within hours of creating new accounts, so why not have a basic limitation for new members that only allows them to comment on postings and/or send friend invites after being a member for a day or so to weed out this major influx of spam?
Something really must be done. Cheers!

We have an e-mail verification process. You can report suspicious users through the report button situated on their profile.
