Change the Rank so it also reflect Uploaded Content & Days as Member
I've been a Loyal Member for almost 4 years and I've contributed my share of Videos and yet my rank is still reflected as 'Newbie'. It can take under an hour to post 51 comments on videos and increase your rank. Please make it also possible to obtain ranks through contributing and/or active days, as this makes more sense.

It does seem arbitrary and weighted towards a feat that doesnt really show much other than one likes to talk about a video. I do appreciate the badges for being. creator, user, live contributor and faphouse contributor. That being said, Im more than a newbie here and its what it calls me. seems rude.

I will totally make you a rank formula! it will take awhile though.
There is a little story here actually. I was sitting in a coffee shop for an entire year working out skill and stat formulas for a game i want to make with java as i do not know java and i need a direction to apply my study. The financial premise is 1 cent for 1 gold and the game will sell for 1 cent on the various device stores as everyone has like 3 cents in their accounts (basing this on the lack of things that cost 1 cent on the windows and play stores). :P
and
i was scrolling around a few days ago first commenting and <3 'ing all the wonderful internet lady's and i found the Rank system on the live page, noticed the potentially artistic awesomeness of the new profile page and sat there debating the lack of "social" in the social networking aspect of this site, (S#$% Posting Noted) and i thought to myself, what if the whole site was some kind of infinity leveling rpg style game of sorts, With Experience points, and rare items and a token store where people can trade tokens for game gold and earn game gold from interacting with the site. On paper this can be done with simple counters and set values which limits the amount of actual math that needs to be done.
i was debating using 1xp/15mins as a basis for xp gains and a user wouldn't be able to level beyond their profiles ability to support their "toon" which means more food and beverage (which is like farms in warcraft).
On paper iv reduced this to a single page in a note book sized pad of paper, so theoretically i could re-do the engine to work within a hundred ish lines of html with out a client, which would totally curb S#$t Posting and get the community more engaged with one another, however i do not know html that well, i do everything with C# and Batch Script ( <3 Batch ).
I'll get a working text script going and post it maybe!

Anyone can sit around and accrue time. It takes, and shows, a concerted effort to comment to users. I find folks really appreciate the interaction. Commenting is simply polite. I try to be creative. I don't care for vulgarity. I know that my wife's self confidence has been strengthened by the many positive comments she has received. I have heard those same sentiments from the users I comment about. Don't sit there...be active! We are one big Hamster Family, right? Comment, comment, comment!!!

Contributions should be weighted. I wouldn't know the exact formula, but essentially all contributions would have a weight/level number assigned to it.
Lets say that a comment is worth one point or a percentage of a point
Listing an item as a favorite is worth one point or percentage as well (weighted same as a comment)
Posing a blog could be worth 2-3 points
Posting a story could be worth 5 points.
Uploading a gallery could maybe be one point per pic, or maybe 5 points per gallery or 5 points per page.
Uploading a video could be worth 10 points.
Every day an account exists could either be one point or a percentage of a point (like .50 or .25 or .1. I think anything less than ten percent is too little). Maybe one point for every 7 days
Subscribers should count somewhere in there, but i don't know how much. Maybe 2-3 points per sub?
I'd want profile views to count to, but I'm pretty sure i've accidentally boosted my own views by going to my own page so much, so maybe it should be points for ever hundred or thousands of views.
MAYBE friend count can be weighed as well, but i'm almost convinced people spam friend requests more than they do comments. I've seen countless people with multiple thousands of "friends" they barely if ever talk to.If percentages can't be made, then essentially the "least valuable" things are counted as one while bigger contributions like uploads/posts/streaming should be the highest value.

THAT is really dumb....then you can just upload junk, and achieve the very same thing......make your rank based on days on here. that would be better...........no one can cheat then......

Absolutely agree. My profile here varrun_2007 has 49 cum tribute videos based on user requests. But still my Rank is Porn Lover basis 105 comments. I am more of a contributor than a commentor. I have people who have no content & just spam commented to get higher ranks.

I agree with over 500 video uploads and nearly 500 gallery uploads myself to your site, reward the people making this site great and what it has become, i dont get much time leaving comments to gain rank, i get more satisfaction uploading for everyone else, this also benefits xhamster as people are more inclined to stay on a site if popularity in choice is there.

I upload all my own amature video material but are ranked the same as some idiot who just " thanks for the add " messages people .
Xhamster needs to realise who their most valuable members are -

And as a content provider, I firmly agree xHamster has always sucked at the way they rank their members.

Rank should be made on comments & posted content, not on days as a member.

I'd say the two main types of users who contribute to this site are
1) the ones who create content, without whom we'd have nothing to see, and
2) the ones that interact on the content, maybe with suggestions and chat and helping the creators to come up with more content.
I'd say it's hard to create a ranking system that satisfies both as there will always be creators that feel they should be above the ones who comment, and vice versa. Maybe it will require two different ranking indicators?
Also, should frequency of log in come in to play in showing activity on ranking?
