Get a desktop notification whenever a new message arrives
I keep reloading the site to see if I have any new messages. It would be nice if I could plug my email notification app (i use Gmail Notifr) into your site and get an anonymized new email notification whenever a new message arrives.

While I understand privacy, if I am willing to put my email in to have the system simply tell me ‘I have a new message’ or ‘I have a new friend request’ or ‘someone left a comment on your photo/video/profile’, I’m totally cool with that!

Make it like facebooks notifications, an easy option to turn them on or of, perhebs even simpler (not coding wise) make chats have a popup text bubble like facebook has, minimize, and a cross to remove them. ( talking facebook not messenger.)
