Today in the news... 'Dislike' button coming to Facebook... but they don't want it to be a mechanism with which people could "down vote" others' posts. Hmmmm...

FROM THIS DAY FORTH......THE "DISLIKE" BUTTON IS NOTHING BUT A "HATE CRIME"

Im just dying to see this new feature..... because if it's not in accordance with what we are asking of.....which is very simplistic in its truest form..... remove the "hate crime" button.... because no matter how you wish to dress it up, or explain yourselves.....the truth of the matter is that.....you people attack transsexuals and cross dressers. that's a known fact..... that's why you love your dislike button for.....you use it as a means of control....to make people feel bad about themselves, so they will leave....you only like the weak n feeble....so you can manipulate them into making vids n pics for you....FOR FREE......while you attack the strong minded....the ones that will not bow or answer to you......like every porn star.....and every real person on here that spends their time making their stuff.......we know what you do.....we know its "HAMSTER" THAT DOES MOST OF THE ATTACKING..... Well the haters got me again, put up two lovely galleries this morning and wham, there are the down voters, haters... I hope you are just about to your solution to being able to figure out who they are and kick their ass!

I do still like the idea of doing away with the button... you do have the report if something is inappropriate and comments if someone truly want so say something negative... It is so wrong for people to vote down every picture on every gallery someone makes for whatever reason... Thanks again for working on this.

I see Jane recently asked, "how and when would they have the time to do this???" - referring to XH Admin tracking down the haters.

It's a valid question. Many of us have seen years of neglect and downright incompetence from those who run the site, and maybe Admin has now seen the light, and maybe not. But we're entitled to be skeptical at first.

I think the downvote button is to express opinion about crap photo, someone can click it and then go find a different user's set of photos, go find something they like instead. The <inappropriate> flag is for photos that break the rules.

Why do you need the down vote button to track in inappropriate or revenge porn and the such... that is what the report inappropriate flag is for and that way someone at admin will investigate it... Seems to me those things are already in place to help protect people and prevent unlawful photos...

Again, I do thank you for your efforts and thanks for the continued discussion on the subject...

Hi there! As mentioned in PM at the website, the downvote button is still needed to track the relevant content from the prohibited ones (including revenge porn, low quality or illegal content which xHamster does not support).

That sounds like a convoluted way of doing things to me and also costly. Why not have the notifications for the "Likes" and do away with the "Thumbs Down" altogether? That's how Facebook and Tumblr do it. They seem to be doing....okay.

For the start it`ll be us at xHamster who will track them down as we need to analyze their contact details and nature first - like, if they are the bots or real users who downvote on purpose. After that the system will report the split between the downvoters and we`ll be dealing with them.

Yet, we are also considering the feature of showing them to the user whose content has been downvoted so that he/she could report accordingly. Will get back with the solution re this suggestion.
