Adding "Watched" or another icon indicating you've watched the video to the video thumbnail .
One of the most useful ways for finding more of what you like is the "Related Videos" feature. It would be extremely helpful while looking for new or unseen content if the video thumbnails both on Related and Search Results would have some identifier as having been watched when signed into an account.
