rather than comments given it could be comments received + likes + subscriptions + friends. That helps the site, cuts on spam, and encourages uploading.

And as a content provider, I firmly agree xHamster has always sucked at the way they rank their members.

Don´t do this, keep it like it is!
People may start upping loads of crap from TGPs, preview flicks and other stuff, no one wants to see.
If as per today a membre thinks he should spread "hot" around the site 100 times a day, that´s fine. Nobody is hurt, everybody is lucky about a nice new comment.
on a a sidenote: I don´t care about ranks

i think some ppl wont to comment but dont really no what to say and if u change the rating system ppl will start putting one pic up at a time and thats not good,

so what if ppl just put sexy, hot, nice etc think of it this way ppl r looking at ur pics. rating ur pics, commenting on ur pics so who cares what ppl put.

Has anyone tried to upload a video in the past two months? Not once has the system been open to uploading videos for me. It is ALWAYS otherwise occupied. And don't sell short the value of some of those who do comment more than the "hot" or some other scant remark. (By the way, brevity can frequently express more than the volumes I've been known to write.) I have found no scarcity of unseen porn on this site. Its not quite like there isn't enough. And who, by the way, spends all their time worried about whether or not their are going to be crowned "PORN PROM QUEEN" by having the highest rating. Its silly. Its PORN for godsake, not stem cells! So, just relax and enjoy the titilation, the brief cyber fantasies, the flirting, the posturing and talk to some of the other users of the site. They really are quite a fun crowd. And xhamster is such a charge of great energy for me. I love it. So, there.

there should be separate awards for uploaders like top uploader of d day,2nd n 3rd and like that for month etc... degrading viewers may harm site reputation.

Very good suggestion here .. up loaders needs to be encouraged. People take time and effort to upload a vid or a pic then some one just comes in and says hot/cool/nice etc just to get their ranks up. I have a suggestion one video upload made public should get say for example 100 points and a picture upload say 50 points. How about that

I think that's a really nice idea, since a lot of people do just that, comment a small thing on so many pics to get their positions increased. It's a nice way to stimulate uploads from users, although the comments should stay important, they make the community work.The uploads from members are what makes a site nice, gives it a bigger and varied content. I just think the webmasters should be more careful, cause a lot of people are having uploading problems, getting their content excluded, and the content is not always wrong. Users don't get even an excuse from the site for that. It makes people give up on making the site better.

I think this should be added in addition to the current system but not replace it. So maybe a user that uploads a video or pic will get 25 points versus a commenter that only gets 1 or something along those lines.
