I can't agree more. There are loads of users on this site who comment again and again without ever posting anything. Ranking should be based on comments received and/or on the number of posts saved by other members.

rank it be the amount of comments and allso the amount of vis and pics you have and how many time you profile is look at too

It appears logical that ranking is a reflection of one's actual contribution.
I read the point as to spammers raised by several members: However, this point really relates to how efficient xHamster's moderation is, NOT to ranking.
If post-spammers exist, so do comment-spammers.
Therefore I'd say: Either ranks exist and then they should reflect one's contribution to the website or then ranks should be phased out.

I don't upload cause since I don't have any rights to any videos and I don't want to get in trouble, I think we should keep it like that or have 2 grading systems seperatly.

Would be a good plan, except....
Half the time, when I pick out what I hope would be of interest to some, the fucking upload section is closed. So, half the time , I get lucky. Except... half the time one gets uploaded, I wait three days- just to see if the format is correct. It's always in a format that hamster asks for, but no.... it still finally says error in format. Makes perfect sense- some of the few that I've managed to get up where third and fourth attempts- of exactly the same version that was earlier rejected. Huh? I could give a shit about ratings- things are what they are. Nevertheless, I do like to get a few up, but I finally just packed in the notion of even bothering.

i agree change the ranking to vids rather than the comments ....my only problem is giving a rank to the pics,because the pics are so much easier,to upload i just dont want to see piles and piles of shit uploaded,but i agree the ranking of the vids may stop the spammers constantly sending the same shit out ....and those that upload the vids here should be given pride of place on hamster because without them there would be no site.i appreciate those that upload and feel the xhamster should show their gratification...
...also they should add points...for premium users and even more points for those that verify themselves....this would also encourage user to verify, and hopefully encourage more premium users for hamster...so i suppose you could incorporate so many differant variables in order to be "the top dog"...but atleast awarding high points to vid uploaders,verified users and premium users and low points to pics i think would be a good idea....but then again many here dont see the ranking system of any use or point,i can also see their point of view...
but if the ranking is gona change ...i agree it should go to the vid uploaders firstly...and not comments
