But I thought to add a rank to the uploaders. Maybe with symbols (military style) to be affixed to the side of the avatars.

Well, about the videos, i agree theown vids would have more value, and porn in general, (or web videos) not necessarily have to like everyone, but they can have a standard quality in terms of image, sound, better if is something original, not like the most viewed video on the web, (is not bad, but sometimes is boring watch the same and wasted vid, of Paris Hilton, for example..), about the pics, (I mean comics, and pornstars pics), is the same, there some exceptions, like all gallerys from i don't know, Jesse James, i enjoy that pics, but others upload just trash for me, (like "my hot ex", with the mark of some web site), maybe somebody likes that, however, own pictures and vids could be ranked as in youtube with a simple I like or dislike .. I'm not saying judge the content, only classify between Own and from the web, i have seen many vids, and pics, from some mysterious users, and they are in Russian, Japanese or some other language, and put titles like "me fucking her ", but the fraud is sometimes very obvious, and is the same problem with pics, how do you know if they are real or not?, fortunately, xHamster is a great community and if anyone has seen elsewhere under another name, would be flagged .. and i know there are videos that have to be shared, but in this case, i guess we all want fresh videos, originals, NEW...

@ srdtv: No offense but what's fun about seeing coms like "nice", "hot", etc... posted on every vid by the same member within seconds of each other? It just shows that the person is cheating for rank, not watching the vids and probably not even voting. For the most part members that post vids want to hear detailed feedback like "She took it like a champ and looked great doing it" or "Good vid but I wish there were more close-ups". But if just commenting was to stay as the ranking system a way to get around the "nice", "hot", etc... coms on content would be to make it so if a member doesn't have vids posted they can't com on vids, no pics posted no coms on pics, etc... Once again no offense just an opinion. Peace.

Good idea Wawiz but if they were judged on content there would have to be at least three people judging the content to be fair due to everyone's differing tastes and fetishes. But I definitely agree that a homemade vid staring the member should get 2 points because I know it takes a lot of bravery to do that, it took my wife forever to post just a pic of her boobs and we have a long way to go before we post a movie.

totally agree, this would be great, but first, fix vids uploader, limit the uploads, and own videos with better rank (own vids 2, like "me wankin" web vids 1 like "hot blonde teen is fucked") , punish repost, own pics, pics of pornstars, pics of hentai, stories can be ranked by eroticism, sexuality, content, creativity ... or something, here are several things to consider...

so guys you have the keys: do some mix with quantity vs quality by getting points, & make some fun with rank names & logos with them, software is so powerful now!! improve it!

I agree that it should be by amount of actual pics not galleries and that vids should count more points than pics. xHam staff, your site thrives on members uploading content and I think ranking members by amount of content they have is the best way to encourage members to do it.
My suggestion for scoring:

Stories = .05
Individual pics = 1
Vids 7:59 min or less = 1.5
Vids 8 min or more = 3

Rank:

0 and under 30 days =Newbie
0 and over 30 days= Porn Watcher (I wouldn't mind if it said something like "Leach" to try and push members to share at least something...)
.05- 100 = Porn Explorer
101-300 = Porn Enthusiast
301-600 = Porn Addict
601-1000 = Porn Star
1001- 1500 = Porn Guru
1501-2100 = Porn Legend
2101 or more = customizable rank

Old ranks would be removed and replaced with this (or something similar). I included a stipulation on the length of a vid because there are a crap load of porn sites that post 5 and 6 minute vids that aren't complete scenes with their watermark on them for advertising. I also think vids under a minute shouldn't get any points.

1 gallery are 2 points? think not good ,some user will post every pic as gallery,it must be 10 or 20 pics for 2 points

- reddogleader said it before: make the rank from contributions: vids & pics & stories..
- or could be like: 1 com: 0.5 pt, 1 story: 1 pt, 1 gallery: 2 points, 1 vid: 3 pts..
- all profiles should be ranked again by new system, for clearness & equality.
- you can add or change the existing ranks, & even add a logo for it, as the vip for buyers lol!

i think it should be just left alone..would take some of the fun out of the site.
