ban gif avatars/images on profiles
Save bandwidth and speed the site up with a ban on gifs. We are all adults here, no need for nerdy and childish gif bombing.

Evidently no clue about relative sizes of gifs and "real" videos.
At the time I write this, the maximum GIF size is 5M, whereas the maximum video size is 10G - 2000 times as large!

Ok first of all, you do realize that static pictures that you probably look at a good amount in the pictures section are actually bigger than the much smaller profile gif avatars, about half as small actually. If you want to save bandwidth, videos use way more bandwidth than images, so just simply start watching less videos. Also, if you look at your friends list there's probably more static images than gifs, so you should probably be asking to get static images removed and have only gifs. Secondly, since when does a static image to a moving image become nerdy and childish? There's zero difference between them, one is just moving. So by saying that you're saying that all images, pictures, and even art is childish and nerdy.
