Seriously....user-created and -uploaded photos are really the most basic foundation of the site, they're far more accessible to most people than creating and uploading videos. The photo section - and the story section - were what set Xham apart from other sites that are more just vid dumps.
It was a feature that led to a lot of original content. A lot of photo content producers that used to be on Tumblr came here after they shut down adult content there, and now you're risking losing them again to another site and becoming just another tube where people upload the same vids they downloaded from everywhere else.
As recently as July 2020 the admins intended to improve and expand the Story section in "the new website version", so I'm hoping this is just a temporary shutdown while they get that implemented and ready to launch.
I'm still adding my votes to this, though, because it should be a priority to get this back online (along with photo uploads) ASAP and not let this fall into development project hell...the site is going to start hemorrhaging users the longer so many core features are disabled.
