There are quite a few other web sites not least the Internet Adult Film Database (IAFD) with such information, so check out your fav., porn start there and not create work by duplicating effort.

Did you click on the video to make it play?
BTW If browser/site setting is not to automatically play the video, will cause this.Otherwise there are numerous reasons why videos are not playing
Sadly reports like this with no information, do nothing to resolve your problems, do nothing to improve things ... just clutter up the system with meaningless bits ...
So folks please think before you post reports like this ... what can someone do about my problem based on my reprot.

Once you've logged on the 'home' page is tailored to your past viewing habits.
I you look at the home page you will see ....
The heading "Recommended for you" followed by two rows of videos based on your viewing history.
Then there is the heading "????? Porn Videos" followed by two rows of videos from your home country
Then the heading "New Porn Videos" followed by two rows of videos which are the latest vids to be uploaded to the site.Now when you first visit the site, it is like a shop window, needs to put on a good display to entice you in ... so shows you a selection of stuff to entice the average general user to explore the site some more and if not a member, to join.
However, once you have logged in (entered the store) it changes to show you content as described above, because the site now knows what to recommend to you and what know what country you are in.

Doesn't look like xhamsters' parent company Hammy Media Ltd., have been sold or that they have sold the xhamster brand.
However, it is true that, since mid 2019, the ability by the site and its to restrict spam/advertising porn being uploaded to the site has stopped. Weather by design or through lack of staff, the amount of spam porn on here is at pandemic proportions.

There already is a means on the desktop and touch screen desktop version - Unread messages have a 'dot' to the right of the message in the chat history. When read the dot goes.

Firstly, AFAIK and from admin comments years ago, it takes several unique users to flag a profile as spam to get a profile removed - obviously to prevent revenge flagging (not saying that is what is happening here).
AFAIK, a message marked as spam is checked and if valid the account is removed.
Otherwise use the contact us link at the bottom of most pages to report fake/scammers direct to admins.

Once a profile has been on the site for 100+ days, the ability to report the profile as spam is removed, the site management believe that after this time the profile is okay.
Obviously, some scammers, play the waiting game and simply wait.
There is a school of thought that profile are created by means of the sites' API system (provided to their customers), with a 'days on xHamster' if 100+.However, if you are convinced that a profile is fake/scammer and the 'days on xHamster' is >=100, then either, contact ....

Sad to hear that a user of 20 years has been removed, especially as the domain was "Registered On: 2007-04-02" (2020-2007=13).
You could try to contact the admins and explain your situation, as they may be able to re-instate the account.

AFAIK, it is not a rip-off of someone else's system or a re-use of a open source system, but not had a look at the code to see if that is the case.
Admittedly is not the worlds best (which ones are), it has problems, issues and what most normal people call bugs, but is does the basic job of sending private messages between two users.
Why do you think they need to create their own messenger?
What is wrong with the current messenger / private chat system? -

At the bottom of most pages on the site is the link 'Contact Us'.
Takes you to the 'Contact Us' page
Where you can fill-in a form and send a message to the admins. -

The site is html5, text only was html1 & html2. Afaict there is no problem with the site.
So at a guess you are using a PS4 and it's default browser.
The web site is shown as text only.
This is prob. due to the browser not getting the CSS style sheet and/or relevant JavaScript code.
Often the file fails to download properly or there is a transitory problem at the server.
Usually, a reload of the page, cures the problem.however, if JavaScript has been disabled on your system may cause the problem.
Updates to system and or browser may cause the problem.Trying a different system and/or browser to see if things are ok, might help isolate the problem.

The site is still basically free, afaict there have been no changes to the site.
Have you recently updated chrome?
Have you tried another browser to see if you can view videos?
What operating system are you using?
What version of chrome are you using?
Do you get any error messages? If so what are they? -

There are several senior management mandated features on the site that cause this.
Assume you've selected a site gender of 'straight'.
If you then watch a video that is of say a solo heterosexual male.*
Then the senior management mandated that the site automatically changes the site gender to 'Gay'.* The senior management have also mandated that 'solo heterosexual male vids' must be categorized as gay.
Note .....
* Solo heterosexual female vids are not categorized as lesbian (aka sexual discrimination).
* Customer services will invoke the categorization.
* The owner of the content cannot change the enforced categorization. -

The answer to your question in the suggestion title is ........ clearly the senior management didn't think of that when they designed the system.
The work around is to have a public gallery, a friends gallery and a private gallery. Put your images in the relevant gallery.
SORT out your report so we understand the problem. Really rubbish trying to understand what is wrong AGAIN
