    Agreed ! Thumbs up/down is just an invitation to vengeance for petty disagreements, and
    removes a good type of feedback from viewers.

    This is a great idea !
    There is already a way to list online friends, so an open chatbox should be easy for xham to do.

    This is a better alternative to the 'invisible' login thread.

    Give users the ability to turn off/on the online status display.

    Or better yet, the ability to set ANY text there based on login status. :)
    i.e. online: yes, but not free to chat.

    Thumbs down, too many categories as it is. We need #tags for things just like this.

    Yes, this is a flaw in the system. Protected vids still have previews available to other users in their news feed when they subscribe to the posters page.

    Eventually the previews get locked down, but it takes a long time and as the OP wrote, you get pestered with pw requests.
